LORDS TAVERNERS SPRING SPORTING DINNER
25th MARCH 2010 - Kitley House Hotel
Top sporting personalities are booked to attend a fund-raising dinner being organized by the Devon & Cornwall branch of the Lord’s Taverners.Local BBC radio and TV presenter David FitzGerald, “Fitz” as he is known to his listeners, will be interviewing, both light-heartedly and seriously, a panel of celebrities, following a sumptuous 4-course dinner. Sporting stars already confirmed to attend include Paul Mariner, Graham Dawe, RomainLarrieu, and former England cricketer Tim Munton.
Said Taverner Clive Higgs, who is organizing the event “We thought we would have a “beat the winter blues” evening and raise funds for the very worthwhile charity, giving young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance”.
The black tie event is being held at Kitley House, Yealmpton on Thursday 25th March and there are a limited number of tickets available which can be booked directly with the hotel on 01752 881555.
Added Clive “We are fortunate to have two main sponsors Taylor Wimpey of Exeter and St Austell Brewery which has enabled us to keep the tickets at a very reasonable price of £49 each including wine and port.
Andrew Huckerby, Regional Chairman, said “This event offers real value for money and gives the guests an opportunity to have a very enjoyable evening and to meet and mingle with the personalities and of course we look forward to seeing the ladies along too”.
